Amazing!!!! I live in a hot climate so algae grows easily in my two shallow bird baths. These are frankly miraculous at retarding green algae growth. I first purchased only one to test the effectiveness. After one week the one with the copper disk was clear and the other one was green with algae. I immediately ordered a second disk.
This sure beats putting pennies that slide out everytime I clean the birdbath! This disk is working great in the Florida sun and heat. Birdbath in full sun, no shade, and so far after2 weeks NO algae.

My bird bath was always green within a couple of days of cleaning it and filling it with fresh water. This actually keeps the green at bay, but you still need to clean it every couple of days and give them fresh water. Who would have thought little birds were that dirty.

Works surprisingly well! I was getting red algae within a couple days even with scrubbing my bird bath every time I changed the water. Now I can easily go a week and no red algae in sight!

I bought 2 several months ago to place in two of my bird baths. I could not believe something so simple would improve the water cleanliness by preventing slime! I use the solar water fountains which keeps the water moving but the copper disk really cuts down on having to change the water constantly. Thank you!
